Jay Labe concentrates his practice on Fidelity and Surety Law. He chaired the Fidelity and Surety Practice Groups of Tilly & Graves, P.C. and Clanahan, Tanner, Downing & Knowlton, P.C. prior to joining Pendleton in May 2002. He has over 35 years of experience defending contract sureties in construction litigation, with an emphasis on payment and performance bond claims under the Miller Act and the Colorado Public Works Bond Act. Jay also focuses his practice on commercial surety bonds, including motor vehicle dealer license bonds, probate, appeal, supersedeas and receivership bond disputes, lien release bonds and agricultural bonds. Jay represents bail insurance companies on regulatory issues and their commercial bail operations. He is the current chair of the Colorado Commercial Bail Insurance Company Round Table.
