Sanford P. Krigel was born and raised in
Kansas City
. He attended the
University of Pennsylvania
for his undergraduate degree in Urban Studies. He graduated cum laude in 1973. He obtained his legal education at St. Louis University School of Law, graduating in 1976. His wife, Erlene Krigel, has been his law partner for 30 years.
Sandy
's practice is primarily in the areas of corporate/transactional services, commercial litigation, real estate, estate planning, adoption law and assisted reproductive technology law. Sandy is a member of the
American Academy
of Adoption Attorneys as well as other local and national bar associations.
For over 30 years Sandy Krigel has had an active adoption practice. As a panel guardian ad litem in Jackson County, Missouri,

is appointed to several dozen adoption cases each year where he represents the interest of the child. Additionally,

has an active adoption practice where he regularly represents the interest of prospective adoptive parents or birth parents. Sandy has been involved in many high-profile contested adoption cases in the
Kansas City
metropolitan area.
