In November 1996, Perry was elected Circuit Court Judge for DuPage County, Illinois and was retained as Judge in 2002 and 2008. Perry was assigned to the Felony Division.
In August, 1995, Perry was appointed Circuit Court Judge for DuPage County, Illinois.
In April 1992, Perry was appointed Presiding Judge of the combined Misdemeanor, DUI and Traffic Divisions for DuPage County, Illinois, which consisted of ten (10) Judges.
In April 1988, Perry was appointed Presiding Judge of the Traffic Division and was also appointed a Member of the Executive Committee of the Courts.
In August, 1987 Perry was appointed Associate Judge for DuPage County, IL.
Perry has been Speaker to the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association.
Perry is one of a handful of Illinois Judges appointed and trained as a Trainer of Trainers in the area of Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Treatment and Sentencing Issues.
In 2007 Perry was one of two Illinois Judges appointed to Secretary of State Jesse White’s Task Force on teenage driving.
