Mr. Thibeaux is a Member of the New Orleans law firm of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, L.L.C. whose principal practice areas are commercial finance and real estate. Mr. Thibeaux has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial finance, including construction finance, maritime finance, aviation finance, factoring and equipment leasing. He is a frequent speaker at professional seminars and continuing legal education programs throughout the state of Louisiana. Mr. Thibeaux is a 1987 honors graduate of Louisiana State University Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and other honorary societies. Following graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk to Justice James L. Dennis of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Mr. Thibeaux received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. Mr. Thibeaux is a member of the Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute, and currently serves on the Louisiana State Law Institute committees for the revision of the Louisiana Civil Code articles on pledge and privilege and the committee for the Uniform Commercial Code. He is a member of the executive committee of the Bank Counsel section of the Louisiana Bankers Association and serves as a member of the board of directors of Boys Town of Louisiana. Mr. Thibeaux also serves as the president of the New Orleans Regional Counsel of Business Economics (norcbe.org).
