Kolb, Richard A.

Robert D. Kobin joined the litigation section of the firm in May 1996 after nine years as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to entering the Prosecutor’s Office, he served a one year clerkship for the Honorable N. Peter Conforti in the Civil Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, Morris/Sussex Vicinage.

 During Mr. Kobin’s years as an Assistant Prosecutor, he gained extensive trial experience in matters involving armed robbery, drug offenses, sexual assault, and homicides. While at the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Kobin served as Chief of the Special Enforcement Unit which investigated controlled substance distribution and organized crime in Morris County and the surrounding communities.

 Since joining the firm, Mr. Kobin has litigated automobile accidents, fall down accidents, injuries resulting from dangerous and defective consumer products and industrial machinery, civil rights cases, employment law, and commercial disputes. In addition, Mr. Kobin maintains an active criminal practice.

Mr. Kobin is a lifelong resident of Morris County. He is a graduate of Newark Academy and a 1981 graduate of Lehigh University. Mr. Kobin received his law degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, in 1986. He is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, the United Stated District Court of New Jersey, the Florida Bar, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

He serves as an arbitrator for the Morris County Superior Court for personal injury cases. Mr. Kobin is a member of the Morris County and New Jersey Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
