Bill Thomann is extensively involved in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications involving biotechnological, pharmaceutical, and chemical inventions. He also has been involved in the drafting of a number of invalidity/noninfringement and patentability opinions and in reexamination and interference proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Bill worked at Pennie & Edmonds from 1994 through 2003. He is fluent in German and has been intimately involved in the prosecution and opposition of European patent applications and patents and has attended several oral proceedings at the European Patent Office in Munich, Germany. In addition, he has assisted in the drafting of technology transfer and license agreements.

Bill is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
