Laurel A. Tesmer, Esq. practices in the areas of marital and family law, bankruptcy, estate planning, probate, and civil litigation. Laurel graduated from the University of Florida and went on to receive her juris doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law. At Stetson Laurel was a member of the Mediation, Arbitration and Negotiation advocacy teams and the William C. VIS International Moot Court competition. She served as a member of the Leadership development Committee and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity. Laurel is a graduate of the Leadership Brandon Class of 2011.
Laurel is admitted to practice law in Florida as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In her family law practice, Laurel provides counsel to families and individuals in a wide array of matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, stepparent adoptions, visitation and time sharing, enforcement and contempt proceedings, and modifications. Laurel has recently published an article in the Lawyer magazine titled What Comes First- Bankruptcy or Divorce. She is a member of the Real property, Probate and Trust Law and the Marital and Family Law Sections of the Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough county Bar Association.
