Mr. Kleinhendler is a partner in our litigation group and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and class actions in the areas of corporate and partnership law, securities, tax, insurance and real estate. He has represented Fortune 100 companies and high net worth individuals in federal and state courts around the country. Mr. Kleinhendler also represents clients in connection with SEC and Federal Corrupt Practices Act investigations, grand jury investigations and white collar criminal cases.
Recent cases that Mr. Kleinhendler has handled include representing:
-- Rosenman Family, LLC in an action against the court-appointed SIPC Trustee in the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC;
-- H. Carl McCall in the compensation case brought by New York Attorney General Elliot Spitzer against NYSE chairman, Richard Grasso,
-- Gristedes, Inc. in bringing claims for false advertising against Long Island Indian tribes in connection with the sale of untaxed cigarettes.
Mr. Kleinhendler has appeared on CBS News, FOX Business News and Bloomberg Television, and has been quoted in various print and electronic media in connection with his various legal representations. Mr. Kleinhendler is also active in New Jersey politics and was the 2010 Democratic Nominee for Congress in New Jersey's Fourth Congressional District. He is also a member of the Ocean County Democratic Committee.
Mr. Kleinhendler graduated from Temple University School of Law in 1994 where he was a member of the Law Review. He also holds a bachelors degree from Touro College. Mr. Kleinhendler is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, in the United States Supreme Court and in various Federal Appellate Courts around the country.
