Kirvan, Kathleen L.

Kathleen L. Kirvan is an associate at Selikoff & Cohen. In addition to her work with the firm, Kathleen is a career Lieutenant with the Mount Laurel Fire Department, where she has served as her International Association of Firefighters local’s shop steward and contract negotiator for more than ten (10) years.

Kathleen received her Bachelor of Science degree in business from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1988. After graduation, she participated in a graduate-based paralegal certification program and then embarked on a labor and employment paralegal career until she gained employment in the fire service in 1998. In 2005, Kathleen received her Masters degree in Labor Management Relations from Rutgers University where she was the recipient of a merit scholarship from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. In 2010, Kathleen received her Juris Doctorate degree from Rutgers University where she was the recipient of an Executive Women of New Jersey merit scholarship and she was awarded a pro bono mediation award, the Leonard Zack Award for Academic Achievement and the American Bar Association and Bureau of National Affairs Labor and Employment Law Award.

Additionally, Kathleen is a member of the New Jersey and American Bar Associations.
