Roxana E. Khan is an associate attorney with the Law Office of Nicolas C. Vrataric. Vrataric, Ms. Khan was an associate attorney with the law firm of Filarsky & Watt LLP, which provides specialized legal and consultative services in the area of special education, student services, and labor and employment. Ms. Khan specialized in the representation of school districts, SELPAs, and county departments of mental health, including drafting pleadings, responses to due process requests, motions, and briefs, and preparing an agency’s case for due process hearing, investigations, and complaints by the Department of Education or Office of Civil Rights. Ms. Khan provided effective representation in resolution sessions, mediations, administrative hearings, and State and Federal District court. Ms. Khan previously was employed by Adams Noblin Vrataric LLP, in Ventura, California, a law firm that focused on employment law, consumer rights, personal injury, construction defect and representation of Homeowners Associations.
Ms. Khan received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, specializing in coursework through the Strauss Institute of Dispute Resolution, the nation’s top alternative dispute resolution program. Ms. Khan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, receiving high honors in both her majors. Ms Khan is a member of the State Bar of California and admitted to practice before the United States District Court-Central District. Ms Khan is also a member of the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association and the California Employment Lawyers Association.
