Mr. Kennedy is a partner in the Litigation Department who defends claims of injury, death, commercial damage, and other claims arising from healthcare, construction, products, commercial premises, auto accidents, and alcohol. He analyzes insurance coverages and defends insurers against first-party claims and allegations of bad faith. Mr. Kennedy works with diverse corporate, institutional, and individual clients to develop strategies and programs that manage litigation.
Mr. Kennedy is a popular presenter to clients and other groups. He has spoken on a wide range of issues such as avoiding unwanted litigation, indemnity, additional insurance, legal aspects of entrepreneurships, medical-legal topics, the Medicare Secondary Payer Act, clergy law, and preventing insurance bad faith. He serves on several Boards of Directors, including the nation's leading, non-profit provider of continuing care retirement communities. He has also worked to prevent abuse of children and youth.
Mr. Kennedy received his B.A. from Bucknell University in Economics, and his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law, where he was honored for excellence in writing and presentation, and where he was a published editor of The Dickinson Law Review. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Advocacy. Mr. Kennedy is active in Pennsylvania's state and federal trial and appellate courts.
