Deborah Keesey is an attorney licensed to practice law in the states of California and Hawaii. She is of counsel to the law firm of Burkley & Brandlin LLP. The firm practices extensively in the fields of probate, conservatorships, estate planning, trust administration, business succession planning, advanced estate planning, probate and trust litigation, elder law, probate and estate administration, business & finance law, employment and labor law. It is dedicated to providing the optimal solution and expert cost-effective service for every client while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Ms. Keesey has a broad spectrum of experience in the field of law, having practiced in civil litigation in Hawaii during her early career after graduating from Cornell Law School. She built on those skills and combined them with a global project finance practice at the Los Angeles office of the international law firm of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy, drawing on her undergraduate degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley. Having realized the fit between estate planning, probate, and business law practice and her skill set, she has refined her practice in these areas where she has practiced with Burkley & Brandlin LLP for over 12 years. Ms. Keesey also serves in many professional and community organizations including the Guardianship Volunteer Project, and is a former board member of the South Bay Women Lawyer's Association. Ms. Keesey is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, and currently serves as the Chair of the Probate & Trust Section of the South Bay Bar Association. Ms. Keesey is also a volunteer at the Annual Law Day held at the Torrance Superior Court providing free legal advice to the local community.
