Jessica Kastin has extensive experience representing employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including litigating discrimination, wage and hour, restrictive covenant and breach of contract disputes, and arbitrating employee and union grievances. In addition, Jessica counsels clients daily on a broad range of issues such as reductions in force, implementation of employment policies, negotiation of employment and separation agreements, and labor and employment issues arising in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Jessica also has extensive experience handling issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act, including union elections and representation proceedings, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, and labor issues arising from the bankruptcy of unionized employers.

Examples of Jessica's recent experience include: serving as special labor counsel to the debtor in one of the largest bankruptcies in U.S. history with respect to the rejection of collective bargaining agreements and modification of retiree benefits under sections 1113 and 1114 of the bankruptcy code; representing employers in various industries in grievance arbitrations and in enjoining unlawful union activity under both the NLRA and the RLA; defending one of the nation's largest financial institutions against a wage and hour class action; representing a prominent cultural institution in a union organizing drive and NLRB election; and advising employers in various industries regarding issues arising in collective bargaining negotiations.

Jessica is a member of the Labor & Employment Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Labor & Employment Section and Railway and Airline Labor Law Committee of the American Bar Association.
