Karzen, Matthew J.

Brian A. Kang joined Watanabe Ing LLP in 1996 and became a partner in 2004. Mr. Kang's primary areas of practice include government and regulatory affairs, land use, telecommunications, commercial litigation, insurance law, and campaign finance law. His reported cases include Liberty Mutual Fire Ins. Co. v. Dennison, 108 Hawaii 380, 120 P.3d 1115 (2005) and Federal Home Loan Mortg. Corp. v. Transamerica Ins. Co., 89 Hawaii 157, 969 P.2d 1275 (1998).

From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Kang served as law clerk to the Honorable Colleen K. Hirai, Judge of the First Circuit Court, State of Hawaii.

Mr. Kang is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all of the state and federal courts of the state of Hawaii and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
