Tina Marker’s practice focuses on the prosecution of complex civil recovery actions on behalf of insurance companies against individuals and entities for violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), state regulatory violations, and common law fraud. Her practice includes the litigation of insurance-based fraud actions relating to illegal corporate formation, finance and operations.
Prior to joining Stern and Montana LLP, Ms. Marker worked in Philadelphia, first as an associate at DLA Piper US, LLP, where her focus was in commercial litigation, including asbestos and products liability matters, and then as an associate at Weir & Partners, LLP, focusing on banking and finance litigation and commercial litigation. Ms. Marker has also been an attorney in the Washington, DC office of Sadden APRs Slate Meager & Flam, LLP, working primarily on white-collar litigation and also successfully arguing a pro bono case before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.
Ms. Marker is graduate of the American University's Washington College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board, serving on its constitutional law team; the American University's Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law, during which time her comment was selected for publication and where she served as the Senior Note and Comment Editor; the law school's Civil Practice Clinic; and was selected as a Dean's Fellow for the law school's Legal Rhetoric program. She is admitted to practice in the courts of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
