Lin Kahn has represented corporations in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, wage and hour and consumer class actions, and antitrust litigation. With experience ranging from the pleadings stage to motion practice, Lin has experience drafting demurrers, coordinating and managing discovery efforts, propounding and responding to discovery requests, conducting witness interviews, preparing witnesses for deposition, drafting deposition outlines and questioning, defending depositions, and drafting motions.
Lin is also active in pro bono matters. She represented an individual in a mortgage fraud case, successfully pursuing the case to default judgment and winning treble damages and attorneys' fees. Lin also represents a prisoner in a long-running case against the state of California to secure the inmate's constitutional right to religious freedom. She argued, and won, an opposition to the state's motion for summary judgment, and is currently leading mediation efforts.
Lin is an active member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
