Robin Juni has substantial litigation experience in environmental and toxic tort matters. She has particular skill in explaining complex scientific issues to judges and juries and in challenging dubious methodologies under Daubert  and similar doctrines.  She has taken and defended numerous expert depositions and has managed expert teams evaluating process chemistry, ventilation engineering, industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, hazard communication, and computer models (modeling air dispersion, groundwater movement, and dermal exposure, among other scenarios).  She has briefed and/or argued cases in the D.C., Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits, as well as argued motions for preliminary injunction, summary judgment, and other relief in numerous federal district courts.  She most recently presented a successful argument in the D.C. Circuit to defeat EPA's Clean Air Interstate Rule on behalf of a utility client.

Robin has managed environmental issues at hundreds of properties located in the U.S. and abroad, negotiating indemnification agreements, warranty provisions, environmental insurance policies, habitat conservation plans, prospective purchaser agreements for brownfield redevelopment, and conservation easements. She is particularly skilled in evaluating environmental issues associated with energy generation and production assets, including NEPA challenges.

Robin has extensive experience in negotiation, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.  She has taught university and CLE courses on negotiation and mediation advocacy, and is former chair of the ADR committee of the American Bar Association, Section on Environment, Energy and Resources. Robin is a regular volunteer at legal clinics sponsored by Jones Day and maintains an active pro bono practice.
