DAVID R. JUAREZ has a practice that is focused on aiding former Federal Employees in securing the compensation and benefits to which they are entitled under EEOICPA and RECA. Mr. Juarez is married and his wife is currently employed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and formerly worked at the Rocky Flats Laboratory in Colorado. His emphasis in practice is natural resources focusing on renewable energy and the increased use of Natural Gas as the preferred alternative. Mr. Juarez also accepts cases relating to personal injury, professional negligence, arbitration and mediation, criminal defense and governmental relations. Mr. Juarez began his legal career in Westminster, in Adams County, Colorado as a law clerk for Richard M. Borchers, P.C. After graduating from the University of Colorado, School of Law in Boulder, he became an attorney for the firm before taking over the practice when Mr. Borchers became a District Court Judge. Mr. Juarez served as a Deputy District Attorney in Adams County before returning to private practice of law in Northglenn. He then served as a Magistrate for Adams and Broomfield counties and adjunct professor of ethics at the University of Denver, College of Law. He is a member of the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association (past vice president), the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association (past outstanding attorney of the year), the Colorado Women's Bar Association, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the Sam Cary Bar Association, and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. Mr. Juarez has served as the presiding Municipal Court Judge of Commerce City since 2003.
