Elizabeth Justice is a native Texan, born in San Antonio, Texas. After graduation from high school, Elizabeth attended Baylor University, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and minor in Political Science. After college, Elizabeth taught middle school American history for three years. Thereafter, Elizabeth attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she served as a managing editor and articles editor for the International Trade Law Journal, Currents. During law school, Elizabeth interned for the Harris County judicial court system and the 4th Court of Appeals in San Antonio, Texas, while also clerking for various firms. She was honored with having her student article published her final year of law school.
Elizabeth is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. After graduating from law school, Elizabeth practiced commercial and civil litigation at Devlin, Naylor & Turbyfill, representing various financial institutions throughout the state of Texas. After her tenure at Devlin, Naylor, & Turbyfill, she joined her husband, Don, at THE PHILIPS LAW FIRM, practicing civil and commercial litigation, serving individuals and companies in the greater Houston area.
Elizabeth has handled hundreds of civil cases, ranging from creditor / debtor rights and lawsuits, contractual and business related lawsuits, family lawsuits, as well as personal injury cases. She has traveled extensively throughout the State of Texas to numerous county seats representing individuals and nationwide corporations.
