Haily Stansberry is an attorney in the Domestic Relations Division. She assists clients in Family Law matters ranging from divorces to child custody, to protective orders. Ms. Stansberry is a strong advocate for children, and brings a mental health/domestic violence background to our practice.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Stansberry worked as a multidisciplinary attorney in the fields of Family Law, Personal Injury, and Bankruptcy (both chapter 7 and 13). Ms. Stansberry integrates her knowledge of finances into her specialty Family Law work, doing personalized cost/benefit analysis of each client’s options before recommending a course of action.
Ms. Stansberry is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida. While there, she obtained a Certificate in Family Law, meaning she specialized in the study of Family Law and the impact of legal actions on families while in law school. She was also a member of the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic (IPVAC) as a student attorney, which required training in the mental health aspects of domestic violence. IPVAC provided victims of domestic violence with mental health counseling, social and government assistance, and legal services which interrelated to help rehabilitate victims. Ms. Stansberry brings a passion for families affected by domestic violence, and an understanding of the mental health aspects of domestic violence that is critical when guiding clients and families through exceptionally tough times. Before working at IPVAC, Ms. Stansberry worked for Child Protection Team in Florida, advocating for children of abuse. She continues to advocate for children through her work at the Gasper Law Group.
When not working, Ms. Stansberry enjoys reading and spending time with her animals. As a graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Florida, she is also an avid college football fan.
