Stephen D. Stamboulieh is a native of Houston, Texas. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in chancery, circuit and the federal courts in Mississippi. His practice has focused on representing the Mississippi Division of Medicaid for the provider appeals, where he successfully argued a number of cases for the Division of Medicaid. He is intimately familiar with the regulatory framework that is involved in reimbursements, audits, compliance reviews, cost reports and other governmental reviews.
Prior to his work with Medicaid, his practice focused in the area of insurance defense litigation, to include the Katrina litigation in the Southern District of Mississippi.
Stephen has also been involved with the National Rifle Association (NRA) on various firearms related matters. Most recently, he and the NRA helped implement the regulations behind HB506 that took effect July 1, 2011.
Stephen currently resides in Madison with his wife Suzanne and daughter Scarlett.
