Steve Squeri litigates civil and criminal antitrust cases and other complex business cases in the areas of intellectual property, business torts, and white-collar crime. He has been lead trial counsel in complex civil and criminal jury and bench trials and arbitration proceedings.
He is co-lead counsel for Baptist Memorial Healthcare in its defense of an antitrust class action involving allegations of collusion in the setting of nurse compensation. He recently represented Cleveland client Interstate-McBee in securing a multimillion dollar settlement and an agreement for the supply of products critical to its business following parallel litigation in state and federal courts. Steve was lead trial counsel in the successful prosecution of antitrust claims on behalf of a group of RE/MAX entities against the then dominant real estate brokerage companies in northeast Ohio.
Steve is one of the two principal editors and authors of the ABA Criminal Antitrust Litigation Handbook (second edition). He is an active member of the ABA Antitrust Law Section and the Council of the Antitrust Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. From 2002 to 2004, Steve served as senior vice president and general counsel of RE/MAX International in Denver, Colorado.
Steve is vice chairman of the board of directors for the Center for Community Solutions and also volunteers his time to the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. For nearly a decade, Steve was a key player in the fight against hunger work as the cofounder and president of Food Rescue of Northeast Ohio.
