M. LEE JOHNSEY, JR. is an Associate with the firm and a member of the firm's Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy practice group, as well as the Real Estate, Credit and Commercial practice group. Lee regularly represents lenders and other creditors in ligation, bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings arising in state and federal courts. Lee also represents lenders and borrowers in real estate and commercial lending transactions and loan restructuring.
Lee's practice includes assisting banks and other creditors in pursuing judicial and non-judicial remedies. He frequently advises clients regarding Article 9 perfection issues, receiverships and the foreclosure and resale of real estate, as well as issues involving rights of competing leinholders, tax overbids, and rights of redemption. Lee also represents lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and drafting of documents for asset-based and secured lending transactions.
He is a frequent speaker at seminars regarding foreclosure issues, judicial and non-judicial remedies, and tax overbids.
