As a partner in the law firm of Spencer & Sundstrom PLLC, Clayton Spencer serves clients in a variety of legal matters including Criminal Defense, Family Law, Personal Injury, and Appellate work. In the representation of his clients, Clayton frequently travels and regularly appears in courts throughout Washington State.
Clayton received his Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon in May 1993 and was admitted to practice before the Washington State Bar in November 1993 (WSBA No. 23121). In November 1998, he was admitted to the Oregon State Bar (OSBA No. 98405). From 1986 to 1990, Clayton attended Western Washington University where he received Honors Distinction and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
From 1997 to 2008, Clayton served as a prosecuting attorney for cities of Battle Ground, La Center and Ridgefield, Washington and he has been representing the City of Ridgefield, Washington in civil matters since 2007.
Clayton is a member of the Criminal Defense and Family Law Sections of the Clark County Bar Association, is a member of the Washington Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Inns of the Court, Clark County, Washington and serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of Washington in Clark County.
