Johnson, Charles William

Mays served as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama in 1979 before starting his own firm. He operated a general practice with a concentration on personal injury and wrongful death claims. He worked frequently on cases with Kenny Mendelsohn, and in 1988 joined Kenny and his partners in a firm that grew to become one of Alabama's largest plaintiff-oriented firms. In 1992, he co-founded Jemison & Mendelsohn with colleague Kenny Mendelsohn.

He and his wife Susan are members of the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery. He shares his love of hunting and fishing with his two sons. He enjoys spending time on the tennis court and visiting with his daughter and grandson.
