Johnson, Amy A.

Tom Jefson's practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, probate and trust litigation in contested estates, and tax matters involving estates and trusts. He assists individuals and families on their estate planning needs through both the design and implementation phases. Tom advises executors, trustees, fiduciaries, heirs, and beneficiaries on their rights and responsibilities during the estate administration process. He has extensive experience in assisting clients involved in disputedestates both in and outside the courtroom. Tom also assists in the preparation of estate and fiduciary tax returns and counseling clients on controversies associated with the taxation of estates.

Tom Jefson received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and International Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University and received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University.

TomJefson is licensed to practice in Illinois State Courts; the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the United States Tax Court.
