David Jacobson works with clients to develop appropriate estate planning strategies that are tailored to each client's unique needs, while minimizing gift and estate taxes.
Mr. Jacobson has nearly two decades of experience in estate planning, taxation and tax-exempt organizations. Prior to joining Harras Bloom & Archer, Mr. Jacobson was a member of the estate planning team at UBS Private Wealth Management in Manhattan, where he provided estate planning services exclusively to the firm's ultra-high net worth clients throughout the U.S. Mr. Jacobson was previously a member of the wealth planning group, and also trust counsel, at Deutsche Bank Trust Company in Manhattan, and a Trusts and Estates attorney with the law firm of Carter, Ledyard & Milburn in Manhattan.
Mr. Jacobson received is LL.M in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of both the New York and Florida Bars.
He is a member of the Trusts, Estates and Surrogate Court Committee, a previous member of the Gift and Estate Tax Committee of the New York City Bar Association, a member of the New York State Bar Association's Estate Planning Committee, and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Jacobson is a member of the New York Museum of Modern Art's Planned Giving Advisory Committee.
