N. SCOTT SMITH was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Indiana University in 1999, with high distinction, and his law degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, cum laude, in 2005. He was admitted to the bar in Indiana in 2005. He was the recipient of several scholarships and recognitions during his legal studies including the John J. Dillon Scholarship and Finalist in Moot Court Championship arguments. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith was selected by the Governor to serve as a Governor's Fellow with the Office of the Governor, worked with the Indiana State Police and Integrated Public Safety Commission on legislation for statewide first responder communications. During law school, Mr. Smith was a research assistant to the Assistant Dean and worked full-time for the State of Indiana. Mr. Smith has been a licensed real estate agent since 2001. Mr. Smith focuses his practice on civil litigation, personal injury, divorce and family law matters and real estate.
