Tom Jackson focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in the securities, intellectual property, and antitrust areas. He advises clients on claims of monopolization, distribution practices, takeovers, mergers, section 10(b) lawsuits, derivative actions, intellectual property disputes, and governmental investigations. Tom also represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, director and officer liability, and prudency issues involving the activities of regulated utilities.
Tom represents Dell in a number of securities law, antitrust, and intellectual property matters; Forgent Networks in a Section 13(d) action related to an upcoming election of board members; and Texas Instruments in several intellectual property, licensing, and contract actions. He also has represented Nokia in both antitrust and intellectual property cases and The MathWorks in a successful jury trial involving claims of copyright infringement in the Eastern District of Texas.
Tom belongs to the American Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Tom is a council member for the antitrust sections of the Dallas and Texas Bar Associations. He serves as the partner responsible for Jones Day's litigation support services Firmwide.
