Wayne Hynum has lived in Mississippi all of his life except when he was serving his Country in the United States Navy. He is originally from Port Gibson, Mississippi. While in the United States Navy he served aboard the Destroyer, USS Brownson, as a Radioman - Petty Officer 3rd Class. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Wayne worked his way through the University of Southern Mississippi, taking a full load of classes while also working full time as the Director of Aldersgate Mission, an outreach program for underprivileged children sponsored by Main Street Methodist Church in Hattiesburg. Wayne earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1978 and went to work as a Deputy Sheriff in Claiborne County, Mississippi. Wayne began studying at the Ole Miss Law School in the fall of 1978 and continued to work as a Deputy Sheriff during summers and holidays while in Law School. On August 10, 1981 Wayne was awarded a Juris Doctor (doctor of laws) degree by the University of Mississippi School of Law. Wayne has now been practicing law in Hattiesburg for over 30 years. During that time he has successfully handled a wide variety of cases obtaining fair compensation and the best results for his clients in a wide variety of cases. He has consistently represented people, not large corporations. He has gone up against and beaten some of the largest corporations in the Country in order to protect the rights of his clients and to obtain just and fair compensation for his clients.
