Brittany Griffin Smith is an associate attorney at Golden and Walters. She is a Lexington native and before entering law school, she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. Afterward, she worked for several years as a journalist in the Bluegrass. While in law school, she served on the Volume 100 editorial board of the Kentucky Law Journal and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, working as an advocate in the Spring 2012 National Trial Competition. She spent the summer of 2011 at Harvard University, working for the Berkman Center for Internet and Society to help media clients across the country with various legal issues. Her practice area focuses on insurance defense and personal injury, employment law, and media and communications issues.
