Anna has been an associate with the firm since November 2009. She represents adults and children in Disability Insurance Benefits and Supplemental Security Income cases from the initial level through appeals to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She has represented numerous children and adults at Administrative Law Judge hearings, and has been successful in ultimately obtaining benefits for clients on remand who were denied at their first Administrative Law Judge hearing by appealing to the Appeals Council, District Courts, and the Seventh Circuit. At the Seventh Circuit, she has argued the case of Murphy v. Astrue, and wrote the briefs for the successful Seventh Circuit appeal in Martinez v. Astrue. Outside of work, Anna has been a board member St. Leonard's Ministries which provides residential and case management services to men and women recently released from prison, and she lives on the northside of Chicago. Prior to working at the Law Offices of Barry A. Schultz, P.C., Anna worked as an attorney in the litigation department at Foley & Lardner LLP. During law school, she worked as a summer associate at Foley & Lardner LLP, and as a law clerk at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
