Craig Skinner grew up in Colorado. He attended Hopkins Grammar School in New Haven and Kent Denver School in Englewood through high school. He received his undergraduate degree in literature from the University of Colorado in Boulder and his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Denver Law School.
Before law school, Craig worked as a criminal investigator for the Colorado Public Defender’s office in Boulder responsible for the investigations of the most serious crimes in Boulder County. He subsequently worked for the law firm of Miller, Gray, Hale and Harrison working with attorneys, Robert Miller, William Gray, Daniel Hale and Craig Truman. During law school he worked at the law firm of Schoenwald, Burke and Naves working with attorneys Patrick Burke and Larry Naves.
After law school, Craig worked closely with Denver lawyer Joseph Saint-Velrti in State and Federal cases and trials for many years.
During college, Craig was the lead singer for the popular Boulder rock band, Pearl.
