Debra Simpson's practice involves all aspects of corporate bankruptcy and related litigation. She has worked extensively on Jones Day's representation of debtors, including Kaiser Aluminum Corporation and Pillowtex Corporation in their respective chapter 11 cases. She also has represented secured lenders and other parties in interest in bankruptcy cases and complex bankruptcy-related litigation.
Debra coauthored "The Broad Scope of Subordination of Claims Under Section 510(B) of the Bankruptcy Code," which was published in the 2002 edition of The Annual Survey of Bankruptcy Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the Dallas Bar Association. She was recently named as a "Texas Rising Star" by Law & Politics magazine and the publishers of Texas Monthly.
