Hulsy, William S.

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 1986 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army on the same day as my graduation. After serving four years active duty as a Tank Platoon Leader and a Tank Company Executive Officer in the Army, I moved to Chicago in 1990 to attend the John Marshall Law School.

While in law school, I was selected for the John Marshall Law Review, where I was a staff editor. I was also selected to represent the school in the National Moot Court Competition and also the National Trial Advocacy Competition. I graduated from the John Marshall Law School, cum laude, in 1993 and I was licensed to practice law that same year.

Right after law school I spent four years as an associate at a large law firm, which represented large construction contractors and product manufacturers. After a few years, I discovered that in many instances, the firm's corporate clients paid only lip service to safety matters and I was being asked to defend companies that engaged in unsafe work practices or made unsafe products.

Therefore, in 1997, I began to exclusively represent injured workers in pursuing their rights under the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act and in pursuing civil lawsuits against negligent construction contractors, negligent product manufacturers and negligent transportation carriers. I have specialized in these areas of practice ever since, and I believe I have helped hundreds of deserving people over the years.

I live in Chicago with my wife and two sons.
