Kenneth F. Silver is a shareholder at Hertz Schram and the lawyer primarily responsible for the firm's Real Estate and Probate Administration Practice Groups. He regularly represents buyers, sellers, developers and lenders of commercial real estate with respect to purchase and sale transactions, development, syndication and financing, including difficult "work-out" situations. He has represented a multitude of clients in a broad range of transactions from the sale of small industrial buildings to the development of a one million square feet retail shopping mall, to the development of a 450 unit residential condominium. Mr. Silver is also very experienced in litigating real estate and land use issues on behalf of developers, contractors and lenders. He is also a well known and recognized probate practitioner specializing in contested will and trust matters and frequently lectures on these topics. Mr. Silver has received the honor of being named a Michigan Superlawyer each year since 2006 and he has also been named one of the best real estate lawyers in the Detroit area by Dbusiness magazine. Mr. Silver is a member of the Board of Directors of the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan.
Finally, Mr. Silver is a well-known and recognized mediator and arbitrator. He arbitrates and mediates regularly for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is a charter-approved mediator for the Oakland County Circuit Court Facilitation Project. He has taught a survey course for the Masters in Dispute Resolution program at Wayne State University. He has written and lectured on dispute resolution issues for the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.

Kenneth F. Silver is a 1979 graduate of the University of Michigan (with high distinction), a 1983 graduate of the Wayne State University Law School and a former member of the part time adjunct faculty at Wayne State University. He is a periodic lecturer on real estate and probate topics for the Institute of Continuing Education and the National Business Institute. He currently holds an AV rating with the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory for preeminent legal ability while demonstrating the highest ethical standards in his practice.
