Jodi Siegel Stein, is an associate in the Land Use Department.  In her capacity, Ms. Stein represents real estate developers seeking discretionary land use approvals through the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) and with the Board of Standards and Appeals (BSA).  In addition, Ms. Stein assists in preparing zoning analyses and opinions to determine existing conditions and development opportunities for clients; and prepares easements, development agreements and restrictive declarations for clients.  Prior to and during the construction process, Ms. Stein assists clients in navigating through the New York City Department of Buildings in order to obtain construction permits and/or certificates of occupancy.  Ms. Stein also represents various outdoor advertising sign companies and their interests in defending against violations, as well as determining the legal status of their interests. Additionally, Ms. Stein guides clients through the City's Industrial & Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP, formerly ICIP), in order to obtain tax abatements, saving millions of dollars for clients' projects.  Ms. Stein is a registered New York City lobbyist.

Ms. Stein joined the firm in 2006 after graduating from Brooklyn Law School, where she received her J.D. and served as Student Bar Association President ('05-'06).  Before entering law school, Ms. Stein worked for a lobbying organization in Washington, D.C. where she traveled the country speaking at various colleges and universities about the importance of becoming politically active.  Ms. Stein received her B.A. from Muhlenberg College in 2001 where she served as Student Body President ('00-'01).

Ms. Stein is admitted to the Bar in both New York and New Jersey.  She served as a member of the New York City Bar Association's Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee from 2007 to 2011.
