Mr. Hooks is a member of the leading team of maritime lawyers who represent injured parties in the British Petroleum Oil catastrophe that occurred off the coast of Louisiana, in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Hooks is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, American and Louisiana Association of Justice, the Maritime Law Association. He has served as the attorney for the Louisiana State Democratic Party and is currently an adjunct professor of law teaching Admiralty and Maritime Personal Injury at the Southern Louisiana University Law Center.
