Hooper, Michael Donn

Ms. Hollis is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2011.

Past Experience

After law school and while finishing her MA in International Politics at American University, School of International Service, Ms. Hollis externed for the United States Department of State, Office of the Legal Adviser in the Office of Private International Law. As an extern, she researched and wrote legal memoranda concerning various private international law issues including topics related to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods Wholly or Partly by Sea (“Rotterdam Rules”) and the Inter-American Convention on International Commercial Arbitration (“Panama Convention”).

While attending law school, Ms. Hollis was a legal fellow for the Legal Rhetoric and Writing Program. As a fellow in the program, she assisted a professor and helped counsel first year law students in proper legal research, writing and citation. In addition, she was a research assistant for the Public International Law and Policy Program where she researched and wrote legal memoranda concerning various public international law issues related to constitution-drafting and transitional justice.

Ms. Hollis has also interned for the Pro Bono Institute and for the 108th United States Congress in the office of Congressman Robert A. Brady of the First District of Pennsylvania.
