Eric Shane is a shareholder at Ferrer Shane. He has appeared on several national news media outlets providing legal analysis for the likes of ABC's 20/20, ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, and MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan Show.
A native of South Florida, Mr. Shane received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and attended the University of Miami School of Law, from which he obtained his J.D., Cum Laude, in 2003 and served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the Business Law Review. Prior to joining Ferrer Shane, Mr. Shane gained valuable experience defending insurance companies and their insured’s in civil litigation matters. Mr. Shane now concentrates the majority of his practice litigating on behalf of individuals who have been injured or wronged in complex personal injury matters including, but not limited to, automobile accidents, premise liability cases, product liability cases, slip and falls, insurance bad faith claims, and medical malpractice cases. Mr. Shane also represents individual and corporate clients in real estate litigation matters, foreclosure related matters, title insurance matters, commercial transactions, and contractual disputes.
Mr. Shane is a member of the Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, and the Northern District of Florida. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Dade County Bar Association.
