Sheila Henretta concentrates her practice in the area of mergers and acquisitions. She has advised companies with private and public acquisitions and divestitures, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, exchange offers, and private placements. Her transactional experience spans the continuum from start-up structuring and formation to exits, and she has represented clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, energy, consumer goods, publishing, software, Internet search services, and private investments. She is actively involved in general corporate counseling, including advising on matters of corporate governance, fiduciary and disclosure issues, and strategic planning.

Sheila also has extensive experience representing emerging growth and technology-driven companies, focusing on capital formation and venture capital transactions, strategic acquisitions, restructurings, and equity-based compensation.

Sheila is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Prior to transferring to the Firm's Chicago Office in August 2003, Sheila was resident in the New York Office for six years.
