Peter Hendricks represents clients in estate planning, elder law, long-term care planning, probate and trust administration, supplemental and special needs trusts and nursing home admission agreements. Prior to joining the firm, Peter represented nursing homes and other long-term care providers.
He also served as a law clerk with the Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis - Senior Law Project and the Minnesota Department of Revenue. Peter enjoys working with individual clients and realizes clients are often faced with immediate and real concerns. His goal is to provide clients with legal advice empowering clients to make decisions to best meet their needs.
Peter provides legal assistance in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, incapacity planning and elder law to a wide variety of clients, ranging from individuals with modest estates to those with substantial assets and sophisticated estate planning needs. He works with couples and individuals to develop and implement a personal estate plan to distribute assets appropriately and to minimize taxes and post-death administrative expenses.
Peter also represents clients in all areas of long-term care planning, working with individuals, couples and their families to ensure that resources are protected and maximized to their benefit when faced with possible or actual nursing home placement.
He has been a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars on Medical Assistance estate recovery and nursing home admission agreements. Peter has authored materials on Medical Assistance estate recovery for the Minnesota State Bar Association Elder Law Handbook and has experience litigating post-death estate recover issues.
