Andy attained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury University in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001. While at Law School, he was an associate member of the Missouri Environmental Law & Policy Review. Upon graduating from Law School he worked as a public defender in Jefferson City for two years. He then went to work as a Special Prosecuting Attorney for Attorney General Jay Nixon, where he worked in the Division of Public Safety. While working for the Attorney General, he was responsible for conflict prosecutions for the north and mid-Missouri geographical areas. His primary responsibility was the prosecution of sexual and physical abuse cases perpetrated against children. In 2005, he went to work as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Boone County, Missouri. While there, he was the head of the Sexual Crimes Unit and was also responsible for the prosecution of people accused of physical abuse perpetrated against children. At Pratt and Jensen, LLC, he focuses his practice on family law and guardianship law. He lives in Springfield with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys tennis and reading about American and world history.
