Ed Schrager concentrates in business litigation, criminal defense in the state and federal courts, family law and personal injury litigation. Mr. Schrager also serves as counsel for a number of closely held corporations. Mr. Schrager graduated from Indiana University in 1976 with a B.A. in History with honors and from its law school in 1980. Mr. Schrager was selected to serve on the Indiana Law Journal. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana, the Northern and Southern District Federal Courts, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals located in Chicago, Illinois, and the United States Supreme Court. At the request of the Chief Judge for the United States District Court, Mr. Schrager recently was appointed to serve for the Southern District of Indiana on the Magistrate Selection Committee and also serves at the request of the Chief Judge as a member of the Board of Directors for the Indiana Federal Community Defenders' Office. Martindale Hubbell, the largest independent attorney evaluation service in the world, has designated Mr.Schrager with the rating of A-V, the highest rating a lawyer can attain based upon confidential surveys of lawyers in the community.
Since 1993, Mr. Schrager has been a registered mediator under Rule 2.5 (A)(2) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Indiana to handle both civil and domestic relations disputes upon order of various trial courts in the State of Indiana and by agreement of private attorneys.
Mr. Schrager has been called upon by several trial judges in the State of Indiana to serve as a judge pro tempore and currently serves on several committees of the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
