Helms, R. Kenneth

Dave has a varied practice as a result of the diversity of his experiences as an attorney. He has a growing concentration in the field of municipal law. He serves as legal counsel to the Zoning Board of Appeals of St. Clair County, Illinois, a populous Illinois county in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. Dave has served as an Assistant States Attorney in St. Clair County handling civil, zoning and environmental matters for the county and its governmental departments. Currently Dave is serving as a special Assistant States Attorney in St. Clair County. Dave is also counsel to the Ainad Shriners Temple. The Shriners are a civic, philanthropic and fraternal organization recognized nationally. Dave also serves as an arbitrator for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court, St. Clair County, Illinois. In addition to his other areas of practice Dave also represents a railroad in Federal Employers Liability Act cases and handles medical malpractice suits.

Outside of his formal practice, Dave is very committed to volunteering for civic, charitable and fraternal organizations to which he devotes many hours. Dave is also an avid duck and deer hunter and is chairman of his local Ducks Unlimited chapter. Dave and his family reside in the small town of Marissa, Illinois where the Schneidewind family has long had its roots.
