Heitmann, Sean K.

Ms. Heidemann is an associate at Kunz Plitt Hyland & Demlong where she specializes in product liability cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death.  Her practice is specifically focused on tires and tire components.  Ms. Heidemann has successfully defended major tire manufacturing and rubber companies in a number of tread separation/rollover accident cases, as well as successfully defending other product defect claims. She also litigates cases in the areas of ERISA, bad faith insurance, commercial litigation, and professional liability. Ms. Heidemann has also maintained an appellate practice.

Ms. Heidemann volunteers in her community in addition to volunteering for the Wills for Heroes program and Project Salute. She has successfully represented a number of indigent clients through the Ninth Circuit Pro Bono Appellate Project.

Ms. Heidemann was selected as a Rising Star in the Southwest edition of Super Lawyers, 2012.  She has been honored with membership in the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. She is the author of a number of law review articles and articles published in insurance industry journals. Ms. Heidemann served as the supervising author and a contributing author of the forthcoming Products Liability Chapter of the Arizona Tort Law Handbook, which is to be published by the Arizona State Bar.  She is also the author of the Dram Shop Liability Chapter of the Arizona Tort Law Handbook.  She served as an associate author of Couch on Insurance, 3d and a contributing author to Practical Tools for Handling Insurance Cases as well.

Ms. Heidemann spends her free time outdoors. She is an avid rock climber and backpacker.  She also enjoys surfing, kayaking, dirt biking, camping, and canyoneering.
