AnnMarie Heavey Langan graduated from Providence College with a dual major in History and Business Studies. While in law school, Ms. Heavey worked at the Department of Education in the Office of Civil Rights where she investigated and resolved civil right complaints. In May, 2001, she earned her JD from New England School of Law and relocated to Boston from Washington D.C.. Ms. Heavey then obtained a position as a Paralegal for Cabot Corporation's litigation department where she assisted with toxic tort litigation.
In January of 2002, she was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and accepted a position as an Associate at Harmon Law Offices, PC, a firm specializing in residential foreclosures. At Harmon Law Offices she drafted and reviewed foreclosure documents from the commencement of action through auction, drafted notices to quit and summary process complaints, and attended eviction hearings. After gaining some expertise with residential real estate she joined Cushing & Dolan, PC in March of 2003. Focus of practice is now primarily residential real estate on behalf of buyers, sellers, and lenders, including the negotiation of Purchase & Sale Agreements, coordination and performance of real estate closings, performance of title searches, and resolution of title issues.
