Joanne M. Hawthorne is a Partner of the firm focusing on Trusts, Estates and Domestic Relations. She specializes in Wills, Estates, Trusts and Elder Law. Ms. Hawthorne works tirelessly on behalf of her clients and her experience in Surrogate's Court makes the estate planning and probate process painless and dignified. She has been a member of the New York State Bar for 16 years.

Ms. Hawthorne is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the Washington & Lee School of Law where she served on the Moot Court Board and as an editor of the Environmental Law Journal. She was a Client Counseling and Competition finalist and a recipient of American Jurisprudence Awards in Trial Practice and Property Law. Ms. Hawthorne earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hawthorne was a Bronx Assistant District Attorney. She currently serves as a Guardian ad Litem and Supplemental Needs Trustee for the New York Courts.

Ms. Hawthorne (formerly Bocketti) is a lifelong Massapequa resident and is active in many community organizations and charities. She is an active member of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of the Massapequa Mustangs. She resides in Massapequa with her husband and three children.
