Practice

Mr. Sakurabayashi focuses his practice on a core patent practice matters. He has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution in the chemical arts. He is also involved in patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, invalidity and non-infringement opinions, due diligence and litigation.
Prior to joining the firm Mr. Sakurabayashi worked in the Intellectual Property Department of Sumitomo Chemical Company in Osaka, Japan, where he instructed outside counsel on patent prosecution issues and advised business departments and laboratories on foreign patentability issues. He has also worked in biochemical research laboratory at the University of Colorado and Medical College of Georgia.
