Hampton, Hartley

Jeffrey A. Hamilton was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1990 and in Kentucky in 1992. From 1990-92, Mr. Hamilton practiced in Chicago, Illinois where he focused on tax-exempt public financing. Mr. Hamilton returned home to Louisville in 1992, concentrating his practice on real estate development, commercial lending, secured transactions and public finance. Mr. Hamilton joined RWSV as a member in 1998.

Mr. Hamilton earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in 1990 and his B.S.B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Xavier University in 1987.

Mr. Hamilton focuses his practice in the areas of real estate development, mortgage warehouse lending, hotel financing and other types of commercial lending, small business, e-commerce, general corporate, commercial loan workouts and venture capital funding. In 2002-03, Mr. Hamilton participated in a number of multi-bank syndicated financings totaling more than $800,000,000, and in hotel financings in Indiana, New Mexico, Texas and other states.

Mr. Hamilton is a member of the Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville and American Bar Associations, the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Legal Counsel Division of the Kentucky Bankers Association. He is a member of the board of the Kentucky Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and a board member and director of advocacy for RESOLVE.
